Subject: Review: Blackstone irons + Driver+3wood

Hello fellow golf addicts,
I just got my clubs 4 days ago. I had to change the grips to my extreme unusual jumbomaxx light XL. But other than that these clubs are crazy.

First of all. I am a 16.7 Hc only playing golf since 3 years. So I consider my self average. I hit my old 7 iron ( 31 loft) regularly 170 yards total.

I was amazed about how easy the clubs were to hit. I went to the range 3 times with them and played already 36 holes. It’s amazing. Still need some work on my 19 degree iron and the short game distance. But I hit the clubs so solid like never before. And my set before this were also very good zirxon zx5 but really the subconscious was always straggling with adjustments between the clubs. Now every club feels the same. Same stand. Same feel same hit. It’s amazing.

I used to have cleavleand wdges with 60,56 and 50 deg with mid bounce. So I struggled a lot today with bunker shots. I used to always use my 60 degree with open face but every time I tried that today with the new 59 I dug deep into the sand. I think I still need some training with that.

3-wood
What an amazing club. I never hit my 3 wood that far and that straight. It feels incredible. I had a pretty good one before ( Callaway paradym) but again it was never like this. The heavy feel of the shaft and the head is amazing. It’s my new favorite club without doubt.

Blackhorse driver:
Ok. That was a strange surprise. I hit a standard high draw. I had paradym driver before that with 11 degree.
So on the range I took a couple of adjustments to hit the center and the draw. But with the cheap range balls it felt like I am losing a lot of distance.
But as soon as I went to the course with premium balls and hit the center of that crazy thing I was so accurate and far like never before. It was crazy.
I don’t slice. And I rarely hook I just need to trust my feel and then the ball just flies. It’s an amazing feeling

All in all. I so satisfied about my set. That I am really showing it off to every one in the club. Specially nonbelievers 😂 in one length.

I still need some trading to get used to them. But I think with these clubs I have a good chance to get to my single hc target for 2025. Thanks a lot 1irongolf for these amazing clubs.
And please advice me about bunker shots if you have any ideas how I can adapt these clubs to them.
Greetings
Aiman Ragab.

Aiman,

You should use the 55º iron from the sand. All of our irons, including the 59º, have a 3º bounce angle designed for fairway play, whereas the 55º iron has a 6º bounce angle plus a little wider sole and is designed designed for sand play. However, it is also an excellent fairway iron.

Hello David,
Yes I read this and tried it a couple of times. It was better. But the face was too much for my usual 60 iron old wedge so I didn’t get the set m my distance right. But as I said it’s not my first time to encounter such a thing. It needs training indeed.
I will stick to the 55 then and try to get the distance.

Aiman,

The trouble you are having with the 19º iron is that you know it is a distance iron and, consequently, are unconsciously swinging harder. Go to the range taking only your 47º and 19º irons and alternately hitting five shots with each while concentrating on using your 47º swing/power with each iron. After a few tries you will be hitting the 19º perfectly.
