Suggest you check out Newmarket, particularly the Summerhill development off Mulock between Yonge and Bathurst. If you prefer an older more established area, I personally would look at downtown Newmarket around the public library on Park Street.

Schools are great with the exception of one high school north of Davis Drive (Huron Heights) or so I hear. Apparently it's not as bad as some in Scarborough or Toronto.

All kinds of sports for the kids from hockey, lacrosse, soccer, you name it.

That's it for now, gotta get back to job hunting.
