In my opinion.. when people start rating bands and dissing other bands about how bad they are.. they might be getting "success" and "talent" confused with each other. Blink could be regarded as a successful band selling a heap of albums and having fans follow them to every show but they do lack a bit of lustre talent-wise regardless of the drumming.

Hey again.

Yeah i agree with Tan (even though i dont know who Tan is). Personally the amount of CD's a band sells does not make me think that they are a good band. Their is no doubt that a band like Blink 182 are successful, you would be stupid to dispute this. BUT just because one is successful, does not mean one is talented. Some of the most talented musicians play in unknown jazz bands, this does not make them successful but there is no doubting their talent. Personally if given the choice i would choose talent over money/success any day.

Also i do believe that Rob A hit the nail on the head when he said that gelling is a big part of being a band.

I still continue to think that Blink 182 are one of the most over-rated bands. maybe its just the fact that im sick of hearing the same 4 chords coming out of their guitars.

So until next time.
Mr X
