Good to see Ms. L give D squared some love.If Keady does go to USF, DD'll need to win 20, because our Jesuit brethren to the north will have definitely raised the bar for the Bay Area WCC teams. I'm sure Keady'd get into the Bronco- Don thing in a hurry. Plus, the last two times Purdue played SCU, they beat the hell out the Broncos.
I agree that 20 wins can be had with some luck and a healthy squad.Nothing we haven't spoken of before. A 100% Rohe, whose back was clearly a problem all season would be a good start.
A bigger and stronger Denison would be a plus--is he working with the Canadian Junior team this summer or is he too old?
A consistent KB and an improving Perkins might be the key, especially if Angley can play at the D1 level, because he is the only real point guard on the roster. Angley's numbers were down this past season; previously he appeared (these are statistics and accounts talking -- no personal observations) to have dominated his competition. He was solid, not dominant this past season. I still think he wasn't 100% after the hamstring injury suffered in football. This year, his body will have a chance to heal and be in basketball shape when the season starts. I'm betting both he and Henke contribute next season. The mysterious KS wing/foward can hopefully add some athleticsm and replace/upgrade the only real loss the Broncos suffer with graduation (no offense to the gritty and determined Jim Howell- a true warrior and class act)--JR Patrick, who was beginning to look like the JC all american the Broncos recruited 2 years ago. Coninued improvement from Tibbets, Niessen, and a healthy Borchardt would help too.Who knows what to expect from Legge? Hopefully he finishes his senior year with a flourish. Besides the KS recruit, I think the Broncos have one more schollie left-- Bakari's spot. If that's the case, another true 5 or 1 would be helpful; the Broncos need both size and ball handling/playmaking. The Broncos showed some serious (and maddening) flashes of promise last year, but could not get it together consistently,. IF DD can pull MSU/BYU/Pacific/ Gonzaga III efforts out of the team every night next year and do the same on the road, next year could be memorable. If not, Levick's current props notwithstanding, I'd expect a change.
But hell, we can be unbridled in our optimism until November, especially if April 14 brings in a couple promising recruits.

great post ...

this pretty much covers the map ... Legge's legs, Kyle's (and Brandon's) backs ... ouch ... everybody get well and stay that way ...

got a great end-of-year letter from LP and this is one class individual ... I like what I see and read from him and think he has a great future ... I hope he rubs off a lot on the "kids" ... the young men playing for SCU couldn't have a better role model/coach ... and we do have a unfair advantage ...

I especially liked reading that after Gonzaga III that ...
It was great having kids call Monday morning wanting to be a part of the SCU program because they were happy to see us compete the way we did.
... good for the Current Broncos ...

Let's hope GONE-Zaga feels the heat next year ... and we all raise the bar and on a regular basis MULTIPLE WCC team make the NCAA dance ...
