Subject: Angley injures ham string in football victory

From the Redding Search Light Beacon....
"Last year, Enterprise senior running back Brody Angley kicked a 42-yard field goal with seven seconds left in the game to give the Hornets a 15-14 victory.

This year, Enterprise's defense played spoiler.

Late in the fourth quarter and with Angley on the sideline with a hamstring injury, Pleasant Valley looked like it would end Enterprise's streak.

But the Hornets defense stepped up at the right time.

"Our motive all season has been great defense," said Hornets coach Darren Trueblood. "We either win with or lose with it. Tonight they came through with a half a football."

The Vikings started the game-ending drive on the Hornets' 36-yard line and faced an earlier fourth-and-2 situation on the 28-yard line. Pleasant Valley converted that one on Greg Marskey's 4-yard run.

"We owe it to our defensive line," said Hornets wideout/defensive back Carlos DeSoto, who put Enterprise on the board first with a 51-yard touchdown reception late in the first quarter. "They stepped up when they had to."

Angley hurt his hamstring on the punt return before the Vikings' final drive. But before going out, he put the Hornets up 12-0 on a 25-yard touchdown run 58 seconds into the second half."
I hope this doesn't bode ill for the future. Injuries have been such a component of Bronco B-Ball, you almost expect this to reoccur. Angley seem to be a tough and resiliant guy, tho'.
