In reply to: Thanks 's message, "What is the diff btwn Masters and Adult Champs?" on 14:39:49 12/03/23 Sun

Masters competitors are generally dancers who danced in the championship categories during their teen years and have returned to Irish dance after sometime, and don't really fit the "adult champs" category but also don't want to return to "&overs". Or they are dancers who have been competing in the &overs category (and soon to be other older age groups) and are ready to take a step back from the high competitive drive of the "youth" competition brackets and can't go to the "adult championships".
Idea is provide a competitive space for adult champs who need the pace of an adults category, but they are championship dancers and still want the push and challenge of the "youth" material.
So while they are an "adult" category they dance three rounds and a contemporary set.
It by no means, means the competition is "easy"; there are many solid dancers in that category. Looking forward to seeing it grow :)
