If your dancers placement doesn’t matter to them then please stay home. The rest of us have dancers who have goals, like being involved in a competitive sport and want to do well. Not every dancer is on the podium but may do their personal best that day. All EVERYONE wants is fairness. Here that means we have 2 categories to ensure that fairness. A smaller competition may be combined but that needs to be stated before families pay for them. If life wasn’t about being the best you can be we wouldn’t have CEO’s of companies, hundreds of options for housing, cars, restaurants or education. Since some of these decisions impact other dancers and their families who PAY for all of these competitions we are the ones who she be deciding how they are run.
