So let's say the syllabus is ambiguous and Madison genuinely thought she was eligible for either competition. That means that Madison and Karl made a conscious decision to enter in the easier competition to secure a guaranteed first. They both knew that Madison's skill level, training, and dance background were far beyond that of a lower-level adult dancer and didn't care.

So they're either nasty cheaters or trophy whores. Not sure which is worse. It doesn't really matter. She's a pariah now that will not get the gushing attention she craves at SRO this year. People played along with her sobbing and carrying on during results at SRO last year and at NAIDC this year and people know better now.
