Where can I buy a cylinder head? -- MOA

Subject: Where can I buy a cylinder head?

Unfortunately, I need to buy a cylinder head. The 4-107 head on Architeuthis is cracked. I've got a few questions.

1) Where can I get a cylinder head? The boat is (for sale) in New Zealand, so it would be best to find a head in NZ or Australia. I'm back in the US, so I'm also interested in sources over here.

2) Are there other heads that will work? Will a 4-108 head work? How about a Westerebeke W-40 head? I've heard that's essentially the same engine.

Call List Marine in Sausalito. http://www.listmarine.com/ Ask for Hans List, or Bill Burdette. They replace and recycle Perkins diesel engines all the time. I am sure they have one on hand or can get one easily. Tell them Bruce sent you.
