 Yes, I should have put a question mark next to masters, the way I did with the Bruno photos. I've read conflicting reports about the status of the masters. Some say they burned, others say they are "safe" with Hoffman.

Either way, big chunks of Buddy's history are missing. That's why it was so great to see Rob Illingworth's photos of Buddy in concert. It almost made up for all the video footage we'll never see.

I mean, someone discovered that excellent tape of the Crickets performing "Everyday" live in concert, and it gets cut off after a few seconds! WTF, as the young folks say.
