..Since Shayne's death, Hailey hadn't spoke or even thought much about it. It was only an insentive to ponder over her loss, which she didn't wan't to do. So instead she kept her feelings bottled up. That very eve she had packed her things, dressed Summer and drove off into the night. She wasn't compleatly insinsire to Julie's feelings. She had left her a note, though it explained only what she had done not how she felt. How could she tell Julie that the one person who had been there for her throughout her life, who had always loved her no matter what was gone? And he wasn't coming back.

Many questioned had came from Summer. She had the right to know what had happened to her daddy. It seemed so unfair that Hailey and Julie spend so much time with Shayne, and his own daughter so little. Regrets did not erase time however, and so Hailey resulted to telling her niece that Daddy had gone to heaven.

Now six years old, Summer walked hand in hand with Hailey, climibing those oh so familiar stairs to the apartments. Hailey held back the tears, though a lump remained in her throat. Since Shayne's death things had gone from bad to worse for the ninteen year old. She had fell into drugs and struggled to keep her job as a dancer at a club. Her abusive boyfriend didn't help matters, and Hailey wore a bruised and swolen black eye as a constant reminder. As the duo neared the door, Hailey and the dark haired girl didn't utter a word. Summer was growing more and more like Shayne each day, and Hailey could hardly bare it. She needed Julie's help..
