My best friend of 35 years did a double-take, looking at my smile, and said, "Ewwwwwwwww!" That hurt! I do have genetically yellow teeth, had never bleached them before braces, and had metal braces, so my smile was very dark. Another "friend" accused me of putting my braces before our friendship since I couldn't eat lunch out after full-mouth gum surgery for a few months and dropped me! Not much of a friend, huh?
