In reply to: Lorraine 's message, "Dugong CYF Summer Camp 2004 Tidbits" on 15:52:23 07/02/04 Fri

To those who shall see this message: My name is Nick Mina and I am the new CYF, USA Chapter Chairman. (Yabang, ano). I did not seek this job but the committee unanimously voted for me so I accept this as a challenge. I promise to do my duties and responsibilities to the best of my ability - so help me God.
I also congratulate the following:
Secretary/Auditor - Boni
Treasurer - Elsie
Steering Committee - Willie
Worship - Aldrin/Melissa
We will work as a TEAM. Together Everyone Accomplishes More.
My agenda for the next 2 years will be forthcoming so standby but my first order as your Chairman is to ask all of the participants to share their own experiences in our first summercamp in USA. We like to hear the good ones, the ones you like, the ones you don't not like so that we can improve them next time around which is less than 12 months away. I can't wait till then.
As for me, our first camp was a success in every way. The food was super. Dante is like one of those Iron Chefs. Bonfire activities was great as we introduced each others family, some it was my first time to see them. Saturday, the 25th of June was outstanding with family activities, reacreation, devotion, talent show, picture taking, all done in one day. As we headed on to our respective home on Sunday, 26th of June, after our morning devotion and brakfast, I had a hard time saying goodbyes to everyone. As I said it in my "sermon" it was worth it - priceless.
Do I sound like I am serious? I am trying to be one. For those who know me I am never a serious person, so my wife said to me, "Be serious sometimes."
Thanks Willie for the nice compliment. Maybe next time Bong and I will play tennis somewhere so he can get even with me.
Thanks to all of you first time campers. I hope you had a good experience.
Thanks to all the original CYFers. It was nice to reminisce our good old camping back in PI.
And most of all thank you Lorraine. You made this one possible.
Thank you for reading my message. God bless you all.
