Well such great subjects to write about. I am glad to see that there are those who care enough to even think of it. It is amazing how some folks just do not want to be happy or supportive of anything. There is so much to do and see here and the terrain is amazing. That is what is bringing people here, back and keeping them here. Ogden has been through a lot in her history. And I do agree also that she is coming into her own again. Look at what is going on on Historic 25th Street as reported in the Historic 25th Street Gazette and this website and check out downtown. I am so excited to see how the new mall (i hated the old ogden mall and was so happy to see the light come through) and the river project. It is about time that we get moving and my hat off to Mayor Matthew Godfrey for having the guts and tenacity to make it happen. We are in an important time in the world, this country, our state and most of all our fair city. But folks have to start feeling pride and getting out and sharing these things with eachother and venture into the places where people are going. Not just newgate mall. Support your local business owner. It is the ma and pa businesses that was once here and thriving and we need to keep that here. No to franchise and corporate chains like the malls. Keep it local and support the folks who are smal business owners rather then shopping at wall mart and kmart. That is what will make this thrive. Reach out to eachother, no matter of race, religion, creed or lifestyle. Isnt' this what we are fighting for in Iraq. To allow them to enjoy the very freedoms we take for granted. I heard on the news just tonight that in some small towns in Iraq that it was ilegal to lock your front doors so that the republican army could come in anytime to use your home. and that is how they lived and accepted. Well guess what. We have a wondeful freedom and we should enjoy it and support it and eachother. Thanks for letting me rant.
