They are going to remake it with Depp and Tim Burton as the director. Burton would be the obvious choice for this film, in my mind. My buddy Chuck and I both agree that remaking it is pointless, but with the visual prowess of Burton and the acting chops of Depp, it could be good.

I liked the first Batman movie, but I think that was largely due to Nicholson's overacting. You could tell he was having way too much fun with the Joker character.
