Date Posted: Thu, Aug 27 2009, 8:58:05 In reply to: Nancy Valencic 's message, "Removal of basketball goals" on Wed, Aug 26 2009, 16:04:04 I too am happy that the HOA board has finally stepped up and is taking a stand. It is unfortunate that it had to come to this but I can hear the pounding of the music when the courts are busy, even well into the night. I will not currently allow my kids to go to the park without me because I am afraid of the problems that I have seen in the park, and around the courts. While this isn't likely to solve all the problems, I believe, as a home owner, as a parent, and as an adult with common sense, that this is a step in the right direction. Maybe we can install an amenity that will benefit more of the homeowners, and not cater to teens from other neighborhoods and counties. I don't pay $300 a year to supply teens with a hang out, I pay it so MY family has a safe place to go in MY neighborhood. If your teens want to play ball, I suggest they play at the MJ community center where there is adult supervision and a safe environment.
