At one point in Ch 10 it talks about how young children (most, but not all) in developing self-esteem, tend to think of themselves as competent, effective, good, kind, and likeable at all times (pg 343). Of course we all know people who think they are guilty or wrong quite often as well.

That caught my attention. I notice my husband and I tend to do this with each other (ie we've never grown up?). Anyway, it is always the other person in the wrong - always. Can this be contributed to genetics or environment? I'm still puzzling over this!
