] Date Posted: 12:28:52 01/23/03 Thu In reply to: turbo_lebaron 's message, "car won't start please help!" on 10:13:17 01/18/03 Sat He got it started. I've been talking to him on AIM. The thing now is that he says it's making an aweful screeching noise. Even though those shields are extremely thin, do you think it's possible that without it something is rubbing? I told him to check and see if anything appeared shiny like it had been rubbing somewhere. Any ideas? Tony [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: 13:02:10 01/23/03 Thu If that shield is off it shouldn't make a difference. If he pryed on the shield between the bellhousing and the engine than it verywell could be rubbing. There should be plenty of clearence unless the starter or a shield is missaligned. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 15:16:22 01/23/03 Thu He's got it now. The bellhousing bolts were still loose!!?? He tightened them up and it quieted down. Now he says he's having a problem with it trying to take off from a stop in third occasionally (a413). Valvebody? Governor? Low line pressure? Any ideas? Tony [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
