Chapter 1- The Begining!
Kagome, Inuyasha, Shippo, Sango, Miroku, and Kirara, wven Mioga the flea were enojoying a peaceful picnic by a sparkling blue lake. Sango was making the noodles, and Miroku was watching her, or should I say watching her butt. Kagome was taking a bath, little did she know Inuyasha was watching her take the bath. Kagome just noticed Inuyasha watching her. Kagome yelled "SIT BOY!" Inuyasha did a face plant on the ground. "What was that for?" Inuyasha asked angrily getting up."You were watching me take a bath!" Kagome snapped getting out of the water and wrapping a towl around her. "Inuyasha shame on you" Miroku responded his hand wandering. Miroku *grouped* Kagome."Ahhhhhh! Get your hand out of there!" Kagome shreiked as Inuyasha pushed Miroku away. "What have I told you, DON'T TOUCH HER!" Inuyasha yelled angrily.
Five minutes later Kagome came out in a short red skirt and a loose fitting red and white top. She had red knee high sock on and black shoes. Inuyasha stared at Kagome for a couple of minutes turning a slight pink, turned around and layed down in a tree nearby. "Wonder what's wrong with him?" Kagome wondered curiously pulling her hair out of her face "oh well, I won't worry about it." Kagome than sat down next to Sango. "Kagome, is Miroku...always like that?" Sango asked blushing slightly. "Most of the time" Kaiba replied making sandwiches.
Inuyasha stayed in the tree for most of the night. He felt something sucking on his face, something small. With a quick action *smack* Mioga got crushed yet again. "You're being extremly annoying" Inuyasha commented with an evil look to his face. "But Lord Inuyasha, your blood is so tasty" Mioga replied from Inuyasha's hand. "Go have someone elses blood" Inuyasha responded throwing Mioga into the water.
Meanwhile, on a small cliff on the very edge sat Shessomaru, arms crossed across his chest, staring unblinking into the firery red sun. He sat thinking about how much he loathed Inuyasha. "Lord Shessomaru, I have a plan to destroy Lord Inuyasha" said a familar voice, Shessomaru's evil henchmen Jaugen. "What is the plan?" Shessomaru asked sounding not the least bit curious "it better be a succeding plan because, if it fails, it will be on your head that falls the punishment" he stated with a strong and evil fiercness in his voice. "Oh Yes me lord" Jaugen said in a rather quick and frightend voice. "You have been warned" Shessomaru said still staring into the suns depths.
Kagome and Sango started to gigle about something. (I'm the auther and I don't even know) All the guys stood near the waters edge watching every move the girls made. "What are they talking about? Miroku asked curiously. "Yah, whatever it is seems to be entertaing them" Shippo replied with a curious look in his eye. "Do we really want to know" Mioga stated with a sigh "oh who am I kidding, I do" he concluded with a dumb fonded look on his face. "I don't know and I really don't care" Inuyasha responded climbing into a nearby tree.
It was nearly sundown when Kagome and Sango stopped talking. They crawled into their sleeping bags and fell asleep. Miroku, and Shippo did the same. Inuyasha fell asleep in the tree he was already in. Mioga went exploring when he saw Shessomaru and Jaugen coming from the west. Mioga ran to where the group was sleeping. "Lord Inuyasha, Lord Inuyasha wake up!" Mioga yelled, but he wouldn't wake up "this will wake him up" Mioga said sucking the blood from his face. *Smack* Inuyasha woke up and Mioga was flatend yet again. "What do you want?" Inuyasha asked in a rather annoyed tone. "Lord Shessomaru is coming" Mioga stated "and he has got something evil planned to eliminate you no dought." Mioga concluded causually. "We'll I have Tetsusaiga" Inuyasha replied "I can kick his ass with it!"
Kagome woke up with a startle to find Inuyasha huddled over her. "Inuyasha what is it?" Kagome asked tierdly. "Get up Shessomaru is coming." Inuyasha replied bluntly. He than went to wake up Shippo, Sango, Miroku, and Mioga ran away as usual when danger aproched. "Where's Mioga?" Sango asked curiously. "Probably ran away as usual" Kagome sighed.
Kagome got up and stood beside Inuyasha, she had her bow and arrow set ready to go. Inuyasha withdrew Tetsusaiga. Miroku had his staff ready, and Sango had her boomerang ready. Shippo was told to hide. But no one was prepared for what happened next...
Chapter 2- The Fatal Blow!
A huge blast hit near where Inuyasha and Kagome stood. There was two screams of pain. In the dense black smoke Shessomaru was seen jumping in, Miroku and Sango thought it was to find and kill Inuyasha but they were wrong. When the smoke cleared, what they saw made them all breathless. Shessomaru held within his arms an unconious Kagome. Inuuasha was sprawled out on the ground unconious. "Lord Inuyasha wake up!" Mioga pleaded "time for drastic measures" he said sucking on Inuyasha's face. *Smack* as if by insticnt Inuyasha hit his face.
"What the, Mioga" Inuyasha studdered, then he saw it. The unconious Kagome in Shessomaru's arms. Or should I say one of his own and a borrowed one. "Inuyasha, it has a been a while" Shessomaru said mockingly. "Leave Kagome out of this!" Inuyasha yelled with anger beyond anger. "Why little brother, when torturing her, brings out the best in you" Shessomaru stated coldly. Kagome just started to wake up and Shessomaru noticed this. "Let me go!" Kagome said angrily, scuriming around. Shessomaru put a halt to by placing his hand around her neck. He squized hard. Kagome struggled as hard as she could. "Inu-Inuyasha" Kagome said weakly, still struggling to breath.
"You bastard!" Inuyasha screamed with rage. "Now really little brother, you shouldn't treat me like that, or else..." Shessomaru replied, he took the claws from his good arm and thrust it through Kagome's left shoulder. She let out a horrible scream as blood as thick as surup, and as dark as the black earth flowed freely from it. Inuyasha couldn't help but watch as Kagome slowy started to die. Something inside Inuyasha ticked, he felt a love so strong he attacked Shessomaru and hit him in the arm, not enough to cut it off, but enough to slice through half and cause him to drop Kagome.
Inuyasha dived down and caught her. He set her down on the ground, her breathing ragged and harsh. "You can't...die" Inuyasha said tears slowy falling down his cheek. "I...love you" Kagome caughed. Inuyasha bent down, pulled her head toward his and kissed her. Sango and Miroku looked stunned but not too surprised. Inuyasha drew one last breath before he lunged at Shessomaru, using Tetsusaiga and saying "iron reaper soul stealer" he hit Shessomaru in the shoulder and the leg. Shessomaru cried out in pain and fell to the ground, blood oozing from each wound.
"Lord Shessomaru, are you alright me lord?" Jaugen asked. "Get..us..out..of..here!" Shessomaru said weakly, but he still had enough energy to grab Jaugen by the neck and choke him. "Were going now me lord" Jaugen said and they rushed off on a blood red cloud.
Chapter 3- THE VICTORY THAT WASN'T!
Miroku and Sango sustained minor cuts here and there, Inuyasha was hit in the left shoulder with poison claws, but would be alright in a couple of hours. Kagome was still bleeding from the shoulder pretty bad. Lady Kiadi showed up and took care of Kagome with Sango's help.
Two days later Kagome was still in bad shape. Inuyasha spent most of his time with her. Everyone noticed the change in his behavior. "Inuyasha you have to eat something" Sango protested. "I'm not hungry" would always be Inuyasha's reply. Three days later, Kagome woke up, weak with hunger, parched with thirst, and weak from her grave wound. She woke up to find Inuyasha with his arm around her upper chest. She thought this a kind gester, and sat up with great dificulty. Inuyasha woke up and a small but extremly happy smile broke onto his face. Kagome burst into tears and hugged Inuyasha tight. Inuyasha let her cry it out.
"I was so worried" Kagome sobbed "I was afraid I would lose you!" "No it was me who was more worried about you, you almost died. I almost lost the most important person in my life. I love you Kagome" Inuyasha said before he knew what words were coming out. Kagome and Inuyasha both blushed a deep scarlet red. They seperated just as Sango walked in. "Hi guys, I brought you some food" Sango said handing each one a bowl of noodles and tea. "Thanks" Kagome replied eating slowly, becausee it hurt to eat.
