Ethan had come along right on time... almost to the day- he was born at two minutes past midnight just over a month ago. Caitlin had taken well to motherhood- much to everyones suprise she imagined- and already Ethan was proving to be a mama's boy through and through. The birth hadn't been especially horrible- at least- not in hiindsight- and she had recovered from it quickly. She felt pretty grown up for her twenty one years as she leant over the babies cradle, lulling him to sleep for his afternoon nap, waiting for Nick to get home from school. She had been pretty guarded with Nick- as far as she was concerned at least. She was prone to offering her heart far too rashly and that had always resulted in her being hurt- from the rape and abortion when she was younger to this- only this time she had been strong enough to make her own decisions rather than relying on her parents to fix it for her. Despite her reservations though- even with school in session Nick was still trying hard- he had taken her to the hospital and called her brother and held her hand through the whole thing...
