Yes, we can absolutely help your dyslexic boyfriend. The issue is that his brain functions differently than his general education classmates. The school is trying to make him this well-rounded person, not understanding that dyslexic students are academic specialized, not generalized.

The first step is to see where his writing ability is. We can offer him a free test to determine this, and see where his strengths and weaknesses are. If his writing is an issue, it takes about 100 hours of private instruction to bring his writing to grade level.

The next step is to see where is reading level is, relative to his classmates. If this issue needs to be address, bring him to grade level could take another 50-100 hours of instruction.

Once his reading and writing skills are brought to grade level, most of his other issues should self-correct. As far as wanting to be a medical doctor, tell him to start volunteering for the college EMT’s. I knew a person in college who got into medical school with a C average. He was the head EMT for years at the school, when the M.D.’s interviewed him, he know more about emergency medical then they did.
