Re-reading your posting, I feel the condescending nature of your last paragraph. I KNOW WHO I AM. I am down the line in my 2nd birth. It's a hypermasculine thing (to me) to try and tell anyone anymore "that it will all be all right" in the end. Because it won't. Perhaps you've not had to confront much bodily fear in your life - well, I have. The only consolation is in knowing that my body is not All of who I am, but it's little consolation.
