Dearest Cassie,

I don't think it is possible to be too serious in this forum, in this community of huge beings. Anyone who takes this medicine of mutuality has already passed through the confrontation with excruciating pain that you describe. Your pain is easily understood. This core wound is, perhaps, the lake upon which we are gazing while rocking and sipping and smoking. It is a lake teeming with life, and yet, at times, it darkens to a black deeper than the resin of the Dead Sea.

I am personally awed at anyone who lives in the central thick of things like us. That I am not alone in requiring a life in truth, no matter how unbearable at times: this affirms my being here. Mutuality keeps me here; it is what makes life truly worth living. You do: in your persevering and your being willing to hold and be held, as we are able on this invisible porch swing.

Do you use a therapist in conjunction with your awakened life? One of the key points in the Down triad of the Human SUN Seminar is "Competent therapeutic help of appropriate kinds is highly recommended not just as an adjunct but as central feature of this total healing and transformative work." It sure has helped me recognize exactly how I am suffering the great wound, and also how I am related to the world in my broken zones (and, as the case may be with me, as a broken soul too). Given the intensity of your experience, you may find this as useful as I.

You are so eloquent! Your language bursts into the world with spoken truth. It's as if you relieve the universe of some terrible witholding in the way you utter your heart. I squeeze your hand.

Chris
