Author: Scooter [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 14:27:40 05/05/04 Wed From some dealings with the Jws i have found that some of the one’s i have spoke with display some sort of fanatical ‘everything is totally perfecto in our little comfy religion’ mentality. When folk talk like this i get suspicious. In fact I would probably have more respect for a muslim who admitted that he believed in his religion but that there were some problems with it. I think a lot of its down to pride. I think a lot of the Jws have lots of secret doubts and when they argue like they do, they are not trying to convince others so much AS THEMSELVES! It takes courage and humility to admit things are not all well. I also think lots of the Jws suffer mental illnesses. Lots seem very paranoid, see devils everywhere, everyone is an enemy, everyone is a threat to them even among their own kind suspicion is rife!!!. Fear breeds mental illness and paranoid episodes. It is no secret that mental illness is high among Jws. Many are on prozac. Those who are don’t get any sympathy either. They are pushed aside and seen as an embarassment to the rest. Don’t think many would admit to feeling stressed out and paranoid but if they are true to the jehovah they say they serve they would have to admit this. As it is they deceive themesves. Self delusion is a rut and a curse that is hard to shake the shakles from of a you. Something else i notice too. Lots of Jws seem to have a bizzare and weird fascination with evangelicals and trying to ‘prove them wrong’ Its like we have got to answer every little detail of every little thing they say. It is sort of stalker ee. In fact it does seem like some Jws sort of stalk evangelicals. There is definetly a weird and kinda creepy sort of fascination that some Jw dubs have with the evangelicals. Their kids are treated terrible as well. They are forced to sit in on all the boring adult meetings and have no meetings of their own during the main services in their kingdom halls. AND THE MUSIC AND SINGING! Dire is not the word! Boring, boring, boring! It beats me how Jws think that this insulting lifeless lip service worship honours God. Most dont even seem interested in the worship at all so i don't know why they think God is interested.
