I was wondering what the believers in karma here think of the way that the doctrine has been generally westernized?

I say this as the original eastern version of karma teaches that we reincarnate as inanimate objects, such as rivers, streams, and sometimes animals - dogs, cats, etc. depending on our karma. It seems that this is offensive to many in the west, and instead there is a watered down version of reincarnating as other people (albeit in better or lesser circumstances).

I also wonder what people think of the caste system?

Finally, how do those who believe in karma view the helping of those who are suffering, as it could be viewed as interfering with the a person's karma?
