Welp, I'm retreating to spend the next 46 hours or so studying as much as I am humanly (or samanly) possible. Friday at 3:00 I will be in naperville taking Microsoft Exam
070-228 Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition. It's 50 questions long. 90 minute time limit. Average time is 52 minutes.

I've been getting between 75 and 95% on the practice tests, which should be enough to pass, but this course has been damn intense so I'm gonna keep pounding at it. But hey, it's free.

The next one is on the 27th (Designing a SQL Server), and if I pass both tests, I'll be a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA).

Woo!

As near as I can figure, a lotta things are pretty damn samanly possible, especially regarding you and computers. So I have no doubt that you're gonna kick ass and take names. And for whatever reason, my nearest and dearest have been having really good luck/karma/whatever recently, so you've got THAT going for you....

Good Luck Sam! I think you'll do fine. You clearly know lots of stuff about computers. I don't know what half the stuff in the post above even means. And that's just the names of stuff, you know what those names refer to, and how those things work.

I feel like Talking Barbie right now. You know the one: "Math is hard!"

I've been working muy overtime this week--14 hours yesterday, 11 days straight--and my brain is not functioning at peak capacity. Or perhaps it *is* functioning at peak capacity, and it can't process any *more* information. Point is, my head has reached critical mass: my brain is full.

Must go now...to do more work.

Good luck on your test to be a Computer Guy. :)

Now to start studying for the next one. That one's supposed to be REALLY super-extra-whoopty hard. Joy. But yay! I'm 3/4 the way to an MCDBA. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]
