Shadowbane looked up from the map he was studying to glance casually around the cave he had turned into his own private study. It was simply furnished with a table, chair and a banner bearing the minion flag proudly pinned to one wall. Scattered pieces of paper and inkbottles littered the table some bearing letters to various parts of his army while others were maps covered in corrections. The only light came from a brazier embedded into the wall nearest the table to spread light on the things Shadowbane was reading (we couldn’t have the leader of the minion army hurting his eye’s now can we) but he had already regretted this because several important documents, one being the all important food shopping list, had burst into flame when he accidentally held it to close to the brazier.

Shadowbane suddenly noticed Takol standing near the doorway with a notepad in his hands.
“What are you doing here!” demanded Shadowbane angry at being disturbed “I thought I told you to get on with building the you-know-what”
“The fort?” questioned Takol.
“Oh brilliant just tell the neighbourhood!” cried Shadowbane in an exasperated tone of voice “It’s supposed to be a secret, what’ll happen if our enemies got hold of that information!?”
“A secret? But I’ve already told the troops all about it…even the location” said Takol looking worriedly over the top of his notepad.
Shadowbane sighed and turned back to his maps one of which had a large X marked in the middle of china with a note next to it saying ‘castle goez ere’.

He had decided to send all of his army apart from his personal bodyguard onwards to the centre of china where a great fortress of the minions was to be constructed. He would remain near the coast until it was finished but he expected great things from Takol and he had specified that certain things must be included. Takol suddenly coughed brining Shadowbane from his musings.
“Sir, we have found out that the seagulls did not eradicate the Giraffe people” said Takol trying unsuccessfully to keep the worry from his voice. “Even as we speak they are massing what’s left on their forces for one final desperate attack. I don’t think I need to tell you the target…they will be ready around the time our fort is supposed to be completed. So we will be able to hold them off.”
Shadowbane thought on this disturbing news as he waved Takol away. Giraffe people were one of the few races who had the power to defeat the Minions even with fewer numbers.
“Very well, lets just make sure we have a couple of surprises for them when they get here then” said Shadowbane once again returning to his work.
Takol left as silently as he could, wishing not to disturb his master any more than he already had.

After a few more hours Shadowbane was getting bored of his important maps and documents. Well actually he was drawing a burning building with people inside screaming but it didn’t matter. Shadowbane lazily moved towards the door wondering what else to do when he decided he may as well go for a walk.

Outside Shadowbane found several shabbily made tents forming the crude camp that were housing the minions for the moment. The minions that were supposed to be guarding the entrance to his study were startled by the sudden appearance of their leader and they instantly stopped their game of cards. Shadowbane nodded at the guards in a friendly attitude before walking at a leisurely place towards the rest of the camp. Shadowbane stopped near the rise of a hill where a watchtower had been erected and looked across the land sprawled in front of him. It was dusk so the sky was a reddish colour that highlighted what looked like to be a ruined human city in the distance. This scenery soon got Shadowbane musing about random things and eventually the topic of minions became apparent in his mind. Shadowbane decided to try to remember the description of the minions he had found in the 3rd prophecy of MOTWU that explained all their strengths and weaknesses.

Minions...almost all minions have red leathery skin and most are the size of an average human. They also have elongated arms and black claws capable of ripping through flesh with surprising ease. The ones that are human size are the Flame Minions, Minions and Mime Minions. There is one type that is taller than the humans, this is called the Club Fist Minion. The three smallest are the Acid Minions, Shadow Minions and the Minion King. Minion King-Every 100 years a Minion King is born. They are extremely small and have very strange abilities. They are known to have a symbol on their forehead if they are a true Minion King.
Minion-
Used for everything being the most common minion, these are a crimson red colour and think that claws are their best friend. They will be on the third line in a open battlefield while the Acid Minions are at the first, then the Flame Minions on second. Some spend their free time training and attempting to best each other, while the other half that aren't as blood lusted gather food or resources for the Minion King and their people.
Acid Minion-
These are the second smallest of all the minions. They are perfectly normal except they have a large amount of drool, this drool just happens to be extremely acidic. Which is collected in ‘drool sacs’ on the side of their necks that are natural and so do not melt through their own skin. At first this was a major problem but they soon adapted to their new life style and now make shields out of the drool and use them as acid spit balls
Club Fist Minion-
Since these are the largest of all the Minion Empire they have brute strength. Once first born they strangely seem to pour cement onto their hands instead of keeping with their claws. Club Fists play a crucial part in the Minion army because when they are the age of twenty they may place immense boulders instead of cement, which means they can knock down walls and defences. The downfall of these gigantic beings is that they are very stupid but loyal.
Mime Minion-
Known as the ‘workers’ they are like slaves to the Minion King. Their skin colour is black and white also they cannot speak or grunt, they live in complete silence. Basically sine they mime they can pretend thee is a building in front of them for example. But these mime minions have a strange power; they can create anything they want as long as they mime it with their hands first. This is great for cities since about 50 Mime Minions could be floating around a giant box and suddenly a skyscraper appears. These can be fearsome creatures if forced to be.
Flame Minions-
These minions have an affinity to flame and all things destructive. They have longer arms than a minion but not by much with large claws. The main difference from other minions is that there’re entire head is made of flame (when they want it to be). This allows them to breath fire in a concentrated flow, like a flamethrower, and with much practise expert flame minions can breath firewalls in front of them. They consider themselves to be better than most other minions and when in battle get a serious case of battle rage.

These are my people though Shadowbane turning away from the landscape in the dwindling light he moved back towards his study even more confident that he and his army would be unstoppable.
