I'm not seeing your distinction between 'discussion' and 'information' here. Are you referring to a difference between discussions about particular badfics and more general discussions about what we don't like in badfic? If so, I think it's difficult (and rather pointless) to separate the two, as they tend to overlap. I also don't see how either of those would be better served on a Voy-style board rather than an InvisionFree-style one.

That was the one post specifically about service, yes.

Yes, it does. To demonstrate: when I logged onto GAFF in the morning, there would usually be at least thirty new threads, each with at least five to ten posts average. Imagine that amount of threads and posts on a board like this. We'd be three pages back in the archives by the afternoon, and it would be horrendous to sift through. That's also the reason Site Guru turned down LiveJournal or JournalFen as possible new homes.

I assume that last 'format' should read 'service'? If so: again, yes, it does relate to format. With a board like this, all you need is one particularly persistent troll to post a little and push all the real threads, started by GAFFers, far into the archives. With an InvisionFree-style board, that is much, much more difficult.
