KORBEN Give her some space JONES Space? She needs help! She’s shaking! ANDREW Oh god, oh god! Jones lays Maria out and uses his fingers to clear her mouth JONES Hold on! He’s still crying as he tilts her head back and begins mouth to mouth The second that his lips touch her, his eyes go wide, his veins are clear as light runs through them, Maria’s eyes stay still and wide as Jones is thrown across the room by a light. MARIA (faint) When he wakes up, tell him to open his eyes Maria tilts her head to the side, her eyes close as a half smile remains on her face. KORBEN I’ll check on Jones. Andrew use that charm – whatever it does, get it done Starring Eliza Dushku and Michelle Trachtenberg Tom Lenk Lisa Roxanne Shawn Ashmore Vincent Karthieser as Connor Guest Starring Emma Caulfield, Drew Fuller, Trevor Lissauer, Lindsey Sloane as Maria EXT – FIELD – NIGHT Faith is holding Dawn by the waist as she attempts to leap at the portal DAWN Let go of me! FAITH Dawn! DAWN Connor!!!! FAITH Dawn stop DAWN Get the hell away from me! Dawn snaps herself away from Faith as the portal closes completely – Dawn punches the air but there’s nothing there. She falls down to the floor in shock. Just still on her knees, staring at nothing. FAITH I’m sorry ANYA Should we poke her with something? A stick FAITH Shut up ANYA Just a suggestion! DAWN (shaken) He…He’s… FAITH No he’s not Ryan looks on at Dawn, face empty – eyes a blinding blue (sadness) they soon flood to red RYAN Open it ANYA If it was easy as that we’d all be doing and by god did you get poked in the eye with a sword? RYAN Do it. I don’t care how but find a way. FAITH You wanna step down a bit there sergeant? RYAN No. We don’t know who or what he’s in there with FAITH But he does – he grew up there RYAN He’s been exposed to nothing like it for four years. You think you could face Prison again now? Faith stares at Ryan as his eyes dissolve back to their regular grey colour FAITH We’ll save him. CUT TO. EXT – QUO’TARTH – NIGHT Connor lands face down on the ground as the sky closes behind him. Everything is as before – dead, black with vicious swirling red skies. He stands slowly and looks around, tripping over what he thinks is a plant – the “plant” bursts out of the ground – a tall thin demon, scratches Connor who immediately swings his axe and cut’s it’s arm off CONNOR Happy Homecoming CUT TO. INT – FAITHS APARTMENT – NIGHT Anya teleports in, shocking Andrew ANDREW Anya! He throws his arms around and practically squeezes the breath out of her. ANYA Let go! ANDREW Sorry – what are you doing here? ANYA Saving you losers again. I came by because Faith wanted me to ask…oh god Anya sees Maria on the sofa, a veil like sheet covering her ANYA Who’s that? ANDREW (looks down) Maria ANYA Oh god…I…I don’t want to be insensitive but oh crap! ANDREW What? ANYA We needed her! How did this happen? ANDREW The spell she was doing, to seal the portal – she couldn’t take it ANYA Well it worked and, um, we sorta need it open again KORBEN What?! ANYA Yeah, bitter irony (cold stares) Anyway…it swallowed Connor a little bit completely a lot ANDREW Is he… ANYA We don’t know which is why we need that portal open. Work with me here ANDREW I’ll do it! KORBEN Andrew you can’t! ANYA Who’s he? ANDREW My… ANYA Oh! No, he’s right you probably can’t do it KORBEN Hey! He could do it – I just won’t risk it, not after what just happened here ANDREW Hey guys I’m actually right here and…I can make my own choices. ANYA/KORBEN Shut up! ANYA I’d do it but I’m a little rusty I mean sure I could open the portal but I actually also might open every door or possible a gaping hole in the ground to swallow us all. CUT TO. EXT – FIELD – NIGHT RYAN I swear that skies getting lower FAITH Don’t sweat it Ry, we’ll work it out we always do DAWN Right except one of these times it had to be the actual end right? FAITH Sure but hey – army of ubervamps, first evil baby DAWN That was Willow and a dozen slayers – we don’t have that. We have four humans, a sarcastic vengeance demon, two fighters and someone who can bend spoons by looking at them (to Ryan) No offence RYAN Whatever FAITH Yo’ kid you gotta have more faith than that DAWN My boyfriend just dissapeared into another world how much… FAITH Boyfriend? DAWN My…friend, my friend just jumped into another world which is slowly becoming a part of this one and ending it – because of us! FAITH Then I guess he’ll be back soon enough if it’s all gonna mesh together DAWN Faith! Fighting humour is bad today FAITH Dawn it’s cool – you know Connor he can take anything RYAN Can he take one of those? Ryan looks up as a dragon like creature swoops down from the sky and grabs Dawn in it’s claws FAITH Dawn! Dawn is hanging from it’s claws as it continues to circle them END OF PART ONE EXT – FIELD – NIGHT DAWN Help me! Dawn is punching at it’s claws for release – nothing FAITH Ryan… She nods at him as the demon lowers down, Faith leaps onto a crypt and springs into the air as Ryan holds the side of his head moving her higher – she manages to climb onto the Dragon’s back. FAITH Biggest ride I ever had Faith holds on tightly with one arm as she shuffles around the dagger in her boot. She pulls it out and rams it into the dragon’s eye. Twisting it around. The dragon releases Dawn and throws Faith off it’s back – Dawn is tumbling, Ryan manages to move her down slower but Faith’s already landed over the bushes before he can help her. Both run over immediately to find Faith limping out of a pond – her jeans torn and her hair wet, a line of blood streaming down her face FAITH Stings a little CUT TO. INT – FAITHS APARTMENT – NIGHT ANYA Is he waking up anytime soon? KORBEN Something’s happening to him, I mean something…when he done mouth to mouth he lit up ANYA Wow. (beat) Shouldn’t we move her? KORBEN (disgusted) To where? ANYA I don’t know, what am I brain lady? We can’t just leave her there KORBEN We need to tell the others ANYA I will, I’ll go as soon as Andrew is done playing with his pole ANDREW It’s a pipe and I’m done. (pause) Tell Faith not to blow into the bottom whole because, um, it’s dirty but it should just come to her what to do. ANYA Okay! What are you going to do? ANDREW Korben’s going to look after Jones and I’m going to…call the police ANYA Yeah right Andrew they’ll love fighting strange demons ANDREW For Maria ANYA Oh, well that makes sense, you do that Anya teleports out KORBEN Andrew I can’t let you do this ANDREW Sure you can, I’m a professional wizard KORBEN You’re an amateur demon raiser ANDREW Trust me CUT TO. EXT – FIELD – NIGHT RYAN Calm down! FAITH We’ve been waiting for ten minutes what’s taking her so long? ANYA Okay, okay I have it! FAITH Have what? ANYA The pipe that Andrew made – it helps charm demons or something. DAWN What about the portal? ANYA He’s working on it, but, there’s some bad news DAWN Why is Andrew working on it? ANYA Because she couldn’t do it FAITH Anya what’s going on? ANYA I’m sorry but, she’s dead – Maria’s dead DAWN What? FAITH Anya is she dead or is she Anya dead? ANYA No she’s dead. Severely dead. FAITH But… ANYA No but. Faith this is serious now he wont’ listen to me but somebody needs to stop Andrew – he can’t do that spell by himself. Maria is twice the woman he is (thinks) Something to that effect – he’s not strong enough RYAN I’m on it. Ryan vanishes into the air ANYA He can do that too? (off looks) Just thought I was special FAITH Where is she now? ANYA She’s still in the apartment – nobody answered at the hospital this whole city is dead. From behind them, the portal begins to open even further, eating the sky of our world. FAITH How do I work this pipe thing? ANYA Like you’ve not had practice (beat) You mean the demon charm FAITH I do ANYA Here erm…blow it, the charm. DAWN Faith…there’s um, there’s like a dozen demon’s coming this way FAITH Call the corners DAWN What? FAITH Do it! Dawn steps back by herself as Anya grabs a sword. ANYA If I get cut in half you’re dead Anya makes the first move in the battle, swinging her sword through the waist of a demon, cutting them exactly in half FAITH Cool ANYA I’ve been working out Dawn is covered in light as she draws the power once again. DAWN Corners answer me. Four beams of light rush in from the sky as Dawn is literally hit with them, her eyes become the brightest white as she stands for the battle. DAWN Bring it on CUT TO. EXT – QUO’TARTH Connor stands and walks past a demon, pulling his axe from it’s skull. He looks up to a large castle, wide eyed. CONNOR That’s new GERBON It’s the newest piece of ancient history Connor turns and looks down to see the hobbit like creature GERBON You must be tired by now, you’ve been here for months CONNOR I’ve been walking for months? GERBON It’s a big place. You’re determined, Reminds me of a young human boy we once had here named Steven CONNOR Steven…that’s me GERBON It can’t be you. He’s be sixty if a day by now CONNOR I went back to earth four years ago GERBON Well knock me down and pull my ears, it is you. Why would you wanna come back to a place like this? CONNOR I have to find something…I don’t know what GERBON I know what. You’re after the Core! CONNOR The Core? GERBON The thing that let’s this place exist in another world, that allows the outter shell to become fragmented. CONNOR Then I think that’s what I’m after GERBON Then that you shall find. CUT TO. INT – FAITH’S APARTMENT – NIGHT RYAN Is he really just sleeping? KORBEN He’s not dead and he’s snoring. It’s our conclusion RYAN Interesting. KORBEN Apparently so RYAN Where’s Andrew? KORBEN Bedroom RYAN Naked? KORBEN No. RYAN Cool. Ryan works over to the bedroom where Andrew is setting up the spell RYAN I have permission to hit you repeatedly ANDREW What are you doing here? You’re all evil and a monster…except not RYAN I got over it. ANDREW Right…the spell. But I thought you had no emotion or something RYAN I don’t. Sarcasm is a skill not an emotion. ANDREW Oh you have red eyes I’m pissing you off RYAN You’re not. I just had a big fight – it was windy. ANDREW Oh. RYAN But you are pissing me off because you’re not doing that spell ANDREW Yes I am RYAN She died. You wont just die you’ll suffer a death we’re talking exploding heads. ANDREW Head. RYAN The number isn’t the factor here. CUT TO. EXT – FIELD – NIGHT Dawn smashes two demon’s together at once, cracking their heads. Faith flips off of a tomb and begins running to the portal as it’s still open – it closes again as she reaches it. CUT TO. INT – FAITHS’ APARTMENT – NIGHT RYAN We don’t need it closed ANDREW You’re just saying that RYAN We don’t need it closes, yet. (pause) we need to get it to stay open…we’re going in. GERBON Have I heard of the slayer, please! (beat) No. What is it a food? CONNOR A girl GERBON Girls can be food CONNOR It’s not food GERBON So, I take it this slayer snack is what you’re here for? CONNOR No. My worlds ending GERBON Is it really your world? CONNOR I belong there. Things I love are there. It’s my world and it’s being swallowed. GERBON That’s too bad, I vacationed there in 1488, nice place. Bit basic CONNOR It’s changed – a lot. GERBON I can imagine, this square thing with people it got thrown in here last week CONNOR It’s a portable television GERBON Nice world. Television. Those people were tiny. I tried to free them but they just exploded into little dots and started going all over the place CONNOR Are we almost there yet? GERBON Who knows. We’ve had a lot of pollution these days, things move around a lot. CONNOR Which is why we’ve been here for months? GERBON I’d say so. CUT TO. EXT – FIELD – NIGHT Anya and Dawn back into each other as Faith comes from between them ANYA Okay blowing your stick would be nice about now! The portal briefly opens and spits another group of demons out FAITH Here goes. Faith brings the pipe to her lips and let’s in one gentle blow, a barely audible sound causes the demon’s to look up ANYA Wow. Good hearing. FAITH (grins) I think I know what this does! Faith takes the deepest breath and blows with all force into the pipe – a loud piercing sounds come screeching from it. The demon’s one by one begin to roar in pain before collapsing to the ground DAWN Wow. ANYA Cool. FAITH Sweet. DAWN Connor. ANYA Ruined the pattern Dawn DAWN We have to try to get him back now ANYA That makes more sense CUT TO. INT – FAITHS APARTMENT – NIGHT Andrew is holding hands with both Korben and Ryan RYAN Borrow any power you need Andrew flicks the final dust down onto the bowl as a smashing light blasts through all three of them before bursting into the air and centring down Andrew. CUT TO. EXT – FIELD – NIGHT The portal bursts open in front of all of them, wind from the bitter Quo’Tarth tunnel is throwing their hair back ANYA I just got this done today! DAWN Do we have a plan? FAITH Go in. get him. Get out. ANYA I should stay here and…what the hell, I’ll come. FAITH You ready ladies? DAWN Ready! The girls link hands and charge at the portal – it doesn’t close behind them CUT TO. INT – FAITHS APARTMENT – NIGHT They’re all still holding hands Andrew is not visible due to the amount of light around him KORBEN Keep it going Andrew CUT TO. EXT – QUO’TARTH ANYA Okay, ready to leave now DAWN We’re not leaving without him FAITH I think he’s been past here DAWN How do you know? Faith points out a corpse of a demon that’s been there at least a week – it has one of Connor’s hand daggers in it. FAITH Something tells me ANYA Oh god! Time is different here FAITH I know ANYA Wrinkles DAWN Anya you went a thousand years without wrinkling ANYA I meant the two of you. I still have to see your faces CUT TO. EXT – QUO’TARTH TOWER CONNOR I’ll find the core in there GERBON Maybe CONNOR Maybe?! GERBON Yeah. I was gonna eat you on the way here but you’re a nice kid so I won’t. You’re real boring too and so you’re on your own now. Gerbon begins to walk away GERBON Oh one more thing – there’s this big four headed creature that guards the source CONNOR Four heads? Like two sets of a double heads? GERBON Smart kid. You’ll get far I’m sure. The Gerbon opens a sack by his side and hands Connor a little necklace. GERBON It’s all about fate. Use this only when you honestly believe it’s your only option. Connor clutches the pendant in his hand as the Gerbon vanishes. CUT TO. EXT – QUO’TARTH Anya, Faith and Dawn continue to journey through the land as Dawn starts twiddling with her hair. DAWN How long have we been here? FAITH I… (looks at watch) 2 days DAWN My hair is gross ANYA It took you two days here to realise that? Slo-o-ow DAWN Hey! ANYA It’s true! DAWN You didn’t have to say it! FAITH Guys. ANYA/DAWN She started it FAITH Nice to know you can maintain your immaturity whichever world you’re in ANYA Demon FAITH Where? Faith is knocked over from behind ANYA There Dawn jumps in and kicks the demon – he throws her down, easily. Faith is also easily beaten down and it’s up to Anya to take things over. She’s soon beaten down. The demon is about to lunge onto Faith who grabs her sword as the other two push it onto the blade. FAITH I don’t believe it ANYA You got it on my shoes FAITH We don’t have our powers. None of us. DAWN What? FAITH I…I don’t know why ANYA Oh crap. It’s because none of us were born with them – we’re all on borrowed power. DAWN Does that mean Connor… FAITH No. No he’s always had it, always. DAWN What are we going to do? We can’t just head back now FAITH We won’t. I guess we’ll just keep going. CUT TO. INT – FAITHS APARTMENT – NIGHT Jones eyes spring open – he looks over to Maria as her words echo in his head. He squeezes his eyes shut as the visions re-enter his mind. All of them, dead. KORBEN Jones! Jones ignores him and sprints out of the door. Korben let’s go of Andrew’s hand and begin’s sprinting after him. The light surrounding Andrew fades away as Andrew passes out in Ryan’s lap. CUT TO. EXT – QUO’TARTH Connor rolls under the legs of the monster and kicks the back of it’s knee. One of it’s heads spins round and bites Connor’s shoulder. Ignoring the pain, Connor climbs onto the beast with a running leap. CONNOR Not so smart now huh? He digs the axe into the back like an ice pick and hangs from it until he can swing underneath at which point he rams his fist with all force through the demon’s thick skin. His entire arm is deep inside the monster before springing out, still gripping onto part of it’s heart. The monster falls down with Connor still underneath. Minutes later, Connor emerges, bloody and bruised as the demon dissolves – a mass of light bursting out. Faith, Anya and Dawn (miles away) See the light reach the sky DAWN Connor. CUT TO. EXT – FIELD – NIGHT Korben tackles Jones to the ground, pinning him down KORBEN Calm down you can’t go in there! JONES You don’t understand I’ve seen…none of them have their powers in there! KORBEN What? JONES They’re all going to die if they don’t get out of there now! Korben climbs off of him and runs over to the barrier KORBEN Faith! JONES Faith! KORBEN Dawn! CUT TO. EXT – QUO’TARTH ANYA Do you hear something? FAITH That’s Jones DAWN Jones is here? FAITH No…he’s… They look behind them, in the very far distance they can see the extremely wide portal with Jones and Korben at the edge Faith takes one look and begins sprinting back to the entrance. DAWN Where are you going?! Faith! She begins following immediately followed by Anya. EXT – QUO’TARTH Connor reaches into the mess the demon left behind and finds a large key. CONNOR Score. He walks up to the tower and enters the key into the lock expecting the door to open, it begins to grow over. Swallowing the key as the entire surface of the tower takes a smooth, marble form. EXT – QUO’TARTH JONES Get out of there! FAITH We have to find Connor! JONES You can’t last in there! By their time you’ve already been there a week. You’re all without powers you wont last any longer! Faith looks back over the land – light is coming closer, the land seems to be vanishing DAWN Faith, no. FAITH Dawn we have to. Listen, listen to me. We’ll find away but this isn’t it. Faith grabs Dawn and throws her out to Jones, Anya is already there. Faith takes one look back as she sees the land dissolving – Connor is running towards her from the light FAITH Connor come on! Connor is getting closer as the portal begins closing FAITH Connor! DAWN Faith look out! Faith spins round as a large demon grabs her and smashes his claw into her chest before throwing her hard out of the portal – she crashes to the ground, hitting her head on a rock. Jones runs over, Dawn can’t take her eyes from the portal – Connor is about 10 feet away DAWN Jump! Connor leaps and misses as the portal closes, the sky returns to normal and the demons bodies dissolve. DAWN NO! JONES Dawn! Dawn turns around as a tearful Jones leans over Faith’s body DAWN No.. JONES She’s dead END OF PART THREE EXT – FIELD – TWO MONTHS LATER Dawn is stood with Jones at Faith’s grave. DAWN I’ll leave you alone She walks away and head’s over to a small tree, still on it’s supporting log. She places a flower down for Connor. VOICE Dawn… Dawn turns to see an extremely old man of around his late eighties, smiling at her DAWN Sorry, do I know you? MAN I expect not, not anymore Dawn looks into his eyes, deeply DAWN Connor? MIX TO. Time for SARAH MACLACHLAN Dawn kisses a bed ridden, aged Connor on the head as a doctor shakes his head. She gives a half smile and leaves the room. MIX TO. Andrew wipes down the bar one last time before heading outside to his car when Korben is sitting. They drive off with boxes tied to the roof. MIX TO. Jones is packing up the last of the boxes from Faith’s apartment. He walks into her room to switch off the light FAITH Damn you don’t waste anytime. Jones turns around in shock. FAITH What? You can haunt your car but I have to leave this nifty apartment? JONES Faith… FAITH Hey, it’s cool. You don’t get rid of me that easily. JONES Are you… FAITH Okay?
