FAITH I don’t know. But I’d rather be out here than trapped in there CONNOR So why did I have to come with you? FAITH Go back if you want, just fancied company is all CONNOR You fancied my company FAITH Don’t flatter yourself. I fancied company that’ll help me be not dead CONNOR It’s gonna be bad isn’t it FAITH Red sky and constant quakes drop a hint for you? CONNOR That and the fact everyone keeps saying it’s gonna be bad FAITH They’re holdin’ it together. Maria’s doing great tryin’ a work out what we did to cause this CONNOR How can you be sure it was us? FAITH I just…I just know CUT TO. INT – FAITHS APARTMENT – NIGHT Andrew pops his head round the corner ANDREW Hey Dawn grips her head ANDREW Did I break your concentration? DAWN Sigh No, I’m just…is it weird that I’m glad to be involved in an apocalypse and not just be saved? ANDREW No…well, a little if a little was a lot DAWN Guess I’m just crazy ANDREW It’s why you’re my best friend Dawn smiles and runs her hands back over the a small bowl with a tiny pool of blood in it ANDREW Is it working? DAWN I hope so…I should have something when… A blinding light flashes through the room and tosses Dawn against the wall as her eyes flash on and off with a white light. - Darlington, England – A group of school kids rush inside as a Thalia leans against her car, her eyes rolling back as storms swirl from everywhere. - Amberfield, England – Darren and Casey both are flung back against the wall as light flashes around them - Unknown Location - A café full of people rushes outside and takes cover as plates and glasses are flung around by Ryan’s mind. Back in Boston Dawn is dropped from the wall and frozen in light. CUT TO. EXT – GRAVEYARD – NIGHT FAITH Did you just see that? CONNOR What? FAITH Obviously not They both head to continue on their path as an extremely large demon leaps out in front of them Starring Eliza Dushku and Michelle Trachtenberg Tom Lenk Shawn Ashmore Vincent Kartheiser as Connor Special Guest Star Emma Caulfield Guest Starring Lisa Roxanne, Justin Berfield, Emily Corrie, Trevor Lissauer, Drew Fuller as Jones and Lindsey Sloane as Maria Faith rolls under the demon and boots it from behind but falls back against a tomb stone. Connor flips (in cool slow motion) over the top of the demon and brings a curved hand blade down onto it’s back – the blade snaps off leaving Connor staring up in shock. The demon grabs his neck and tosses him into Faith. She helps him up and they nod at each other before leaping up and spin kicking into it’s neck at the same time, snapping it clean off. It falls to the ground at the same time as they do. They smile at each other until it’s skin begins to split off it’s back to reveal a demon that’s twice the size CUT TO. INT – FAITHS APARTMENT – NIGHT JONES How long ago did Faith leave? MARIA I’d call it twenty minutes – she can handle herself don’t break into one JONES I’m not breaking into anything I just figured she’d be back by now INT – FAITHS BEDROOM – NIGHT Dawn is shaking on the floor ANDREW Dawn? DAWN That was whoa ANDREW Whoa I love that Ice Cream or Whoa I dropped a brick on my foot? DAWN Bit of both ANDREW Cool DAWN No ANDREW Hot? DAWN It was us ANDREW We were hot? DAWN Shut up! ANDREW Sorry DAWN Everything…everything we’ve done this past year it’s all connected. Everyone who died because of us – everyone who lived, all of it has led up to this ANDREW That’s not possible that would mean they died because of us Dawn doesn’t say anything ANDREW Which means he died because of me DAWN Andrew it doesn’t work like that – he would have met you that day he did because that’s how it was meant to be ANDREW I don’t understand… DAWN All the spells, all the…everything is out of balance and now we blocked all the demon’s off – we got rid of so much bad it didn’t even fit we didn’t think about where we got rid of them to ANDREW What…? DAWN We just moved them from here we didn’t know where – they’ve all moved into other dimensions, flooding them and pushing their demons out to here. Demon’s that are so much more than anything we even saw in Quo’Tarth – we’re talking pure demons, monsters. Dawn turns as she sees Maria, Korben and Jones stood in the doorway looking more than a little shaken KORBEN I knew I should’ve waited longer to spend time with your friends MARIA Dawn what’s going on? DAWN Short version? MARIA Please DAWN We all started the end of the world JONES You think you can maybe colour that picture in a bit DAWN We got rid of a bunch of demons and now bigger, badder ones are coming back and their dimension is leaking into ours and basically it’s gonna eat away at it until it takes it over. JONES And we’re all gonna die because of things you guys did in the past? ANDREW You’re out of line! You’d still be dead if it wasn’t for these guys JONES I wish I was – now what? I have to die all over again? MARIA Not nessacarily there’s a spell DAWN Spell’s are how we got to here in the start MARIA It’s a sealing spell it locks portals shut and okay we’ll have to fight off anything that got through but it’ll reverse non physical effects and lock off any further escapes (pause) But it’s very powerful and will take a while DAWN How long? MARIA Hours maybe JONES Doesn’t powerful translate as dangerous DAWN Sure you’ve got a powerful mouth that’s gonna get you hit in a minute Jones and Dawn stare at each other hard and cold before Dawn shakes it off MARIA I’m doing this. DAWN I can’t risk it MARIA Good job you’re not the one doing it then END OF PART ONE EXT – STREET – NIGHT Faith is kicked from the floor and through a shop window as if she were the demon’s soccer ball. CONNOR Faith! The demon which is like a much more red, bigger version of the CGI demon that came through Quo’Tarth with Connor in Angel 3x19 – grabs Connor by his ankle and swings him into the air before launching him off like a ball. FAITH We can’t do this! CUT TO. INT – FAITHS APARTMENT – NIGHT JONES She should be back by now DAWN Jones! JONES Dawn If you tell me to calm down you’re gonna get shut down DAWN Don’t threaten me JONES I was making a promise DAWN Get out ANDREW Dawn! JONES Fine, I’m leaving. Jones storms out and grabs a large blade on his way – Dawn quickly follows. Both slow to a shocked stop as they reach the outside of the apartment – the sky is lower than before – buildings are crumbling. DAWN Don’t go. JONES I have to find her DAWN Jones we don’t know what’s out there and I can’t let you JONES You think you’re gonna stop me DAWN You wanna see me try? JONES Dawn I can’t let her get hurt DAWN I think we’ve got more important things to worry about Jones slowly turns his head as Dawn stares at two of the demons that attacked the other two. They start stretching forward before their insides are suddenly pulled from out of them and they tumble to the floor. Both Dawn and Jones look over in astonishment as Ryan stands there looking empty. RYAN A lot more important things. CUT TO. EXT – BOSTON – NIGHT Connor pauses for a moment as the demon moves toward Faith – he closes his eyes. FAITH Connor! The demon is moving closer as Faith is cornered by it. Connor’s surrounding briefly become Quo’Tarth as he remembers when he had to fight because it was his life not because he was attacked. Suddenly his eyes spring open and he leaps into the air swinging two blades around as he lands with his legs around the demons shoulders crossing the blades over each other and ripping them by removing the demon’s head entirely. Connor drops to the floor rolling out of the way as the demon folds down dropping Faith who’s holding her throat. FAITH Nice moves junior CONNOR I know They take a breathy pause before Connor looks up at Faith CONNOR You wanna try it? FAITH I’m all whacked out CONNOR That’s a shame because we’ve got a party starting Faith looks up as two more of the demon’s leap down from the roof CUT TO. EXT – FAITH’S APARTMENT – NIGHT DAWN Ryan? RYAN Hey DAWN What are you…you only left two nights ago RYAN I doubled back DAWN Are you bad again? RYAN Can’t be JONES Why not? RYAN Can’t get mad Dawn looks to the ground guilty as she hears the emptiness of his voice. RYAN Apparently my new found powers are getting more unpredictable. JONES How? RYAN Telekinesis is a major strength as you can see, which by the way while I can’t feel anything real I can still get headaches so a call before you summon our powers would be nice – I can teleport and I can hear suffering DAWN Hear suffering? RYAN From miles away – right now I’d say the two people you love most in the world about to get killed. CUT TO. INT – FAITHS APARTMENT – NIGHT Andrew is sitting anxiously on the toilet as Korben enters KORBEN I was beginning to think you’d fallen in Andrew looks up at him – his pants are very much on and the seats still covered ANDREW It’s the quietest place KORBEN You nervous? ANDREW I don’t even know what I have to be nervous about KORBEN Dying? ANDREW Thanks now I’m there KORBEN Don’t worry I’ve got your back ANDREW No offence but you’re like a regular guy – you can’t protect me KORBEN You’re making assumptions ANDREW That you can’t protect me? KORBEN If that’s what you want ANDREW Seriously if Faith’s worried and she’s a murderer as well as the slayer – you’re not gonna be able to do anything KORBEN Okay if you say so but I want you to know something – I’m not leaving. ANDREW What? KORBEN I found your letter to me saying I had to leave town or I’d die – I may only know you a little and I may have only been hanging out with you for like three days but it was enough time ANDREW For what? KORBEN To know that I’ll fight for you to the end CUT TO. EXT – GRAVEYARD – NIGHT Faith, Connor, Dawn, Ryan and Jones are all storming through. Faith’s ahead as Ryan and Connor lag behind CONNOR So you’re back RYAN You make it sound like I’ve been gone for months CONNOR Why are you back? RYAN Save your asses CONNOR Doing it all right by myself RYAN So I saw CONNOR Good flight? RYAN Bad food. CONNOR Are you staying long? RYAN No. I’m gone when the world doesn’t end or gone if it does. CONNOR Are you sure it’s safe to be back after such a short time? RYAN Are you sure it’s safe for you to try and convince me to leave when I’m one of your strongest? Ryan picks up speed and walks ahead to catch up with both Faith and Jones as Dawn falls back to Connor. DAWN Don’t expect too much there CONNOR Right you took his freedom DAWN Excuse me? CONNOR We’re gonna die tonight and I don’t want to fall out with you but what you did was wrong. I know what it’s like to have free will and any sense of anything real taken away from you – what you got Maria to do, that’s worse than killing him because he may as well be a walking corpse now. Connor now picks up speed leaving Dawn standing still. JONES Look at the pretty purple lights FAITH Those lights which are getting bigger and bigger, brighter and brighter? JONES That’s the one The portal grows rapidly and lets out a ring of energy, which pulls trees from their roots and sends the entire group scattering. Faith is first to look up as she shocks back from an small army of around a dozen of the demons they earlier fort All five of them are soon stood in a line ready for the battle, fists and weapons at the ready FAITH Go! Connor is fighting a demon as another comes behind him and tears at his back – he is now cornered by two demons until Dawn flips between them and pulls him out CONNOR Nice moves DAWN (smiles) I know CUT TO. INT – FAITH’S APARTMENT – NIGHT MARIA Okay I’m pretty ready for this ANDREW Good because I just remembered this spell MARIA What spell? ANDREW Charmer MARIA Never heard of it ANDREW It brings you this like pipe that sort of hypnotises demons in a way – I’m not sure if it’ll work on non-earth ones but it was originally made for lions then worked on demons so… MARIA Anything you can find. From what they said on their way to the graveyard these guys are nasty ANDREW Okay so um, wish me luck MARIA You too, good luck ANDREW Yeah duh I wish me luck to! (beat) Oh…good luck CUT TO. EXT – GRAVE/PORTAL – NIGHT Faith seriously goes some on beating a demon down she is riding it’s back and continuously stabbing it with a small knife until it falls down. FAITH I hate you! Ryan is thrown into Jones – bowling him over hard as Connor seriously beats on one of the demons. Another is up on a tomb as Faith fights below – it’s about to leap down as Dawn launches herself up slams a hunga munga (Anne thingy) directly into it’s skull cracking it along the sides. DAWN Back off! She leaps off to Faith’s side the grip hands for a shake as they move back to back and charge out into the demons. Faith flips Dawn up and she comes down on a demon holding it by the horns and pulling it to the ground. CUT TO. INT – FAITHS APARTMENT – NIGHT Andrew is looking at his pot very disappointed KORBEN Did it work? ANDREW No KORBEN (grinning) It did ANDREW Do you see a flute? KORBEN You didn’t give it a specific location – Imagine my surprise when I reached for the tissue in the bathroom and found a flute – it was awkward. ANDREW Oh god thankyou! Andrew throws his arms around Korben, it falls into a kiss – a long one but not a passionate one just a relaxed one. ANDREW Whoa KORBEN What did that mean? ANDREW I don’t know…I can’t know until… He’s cut off as light literally forces him to squint. They rush out to the other room where Maria is literally blurred out through light – it spills out smashing all of the windows on the apartment, the boys duck for cover. CUT TO. EXT – GRAVEYARD – NIGHT All of the demons and the gang stop fighting as they throw themselves down to shield from the light. CUT TO. AMBERFIELD, ENGLAND A dozen slayers are gathered outside with Darren as they stare up at the sky a bright white flash beam up almost like the moon is stretched out into one long tracking. DARREN Something’s big is goin’ down over there CUT TO. EXT – GRAVEYARD – NIGHT FAITH Jones, go! Jones stands holding his ribs – he’s beaten badly JONES I can handle it! FAITH Go! I’m not risking… (thinks) I’m not risking them getting hurt go and check on them JONES Nice cover up FAITH I’m not losin’ you again now leave! ANYA For crying out loud just leave FAITH/JONES Anya? ANYA You know you ruined my night out by almost burning my eyes out FAITH What are you doing here? ANYA Thought I’d zap by see what troubles you losers were in this week – four days, four days and you’re already in an apocalypse that’s disturbing FAITH We’re a little busy Dawn comes flying past them and looks at Anya confused before running back into battle. ANYA Give me that! Anya takes Faiths sword, Faith looks at her like she’s lost it – Anya zaps out and zaps in infront of a demon, she swings the sword round fast enough to cut it’s head off and zaps back to faith before it’s even on the ground ANYA Did I do it? FAITH Anya take Jones back to mine ANYA No, no there’s a strange gypsy girl making noises on the floor FAITH Go! Jones stands and runs, limping the entire time clutching his ribs FAITH Anya – take a sword and help us ANYA But prada! FAITH Anya! ANYA Fine! (under breath) But you owe me $200 CUT TO. INT – FAITHS APARTMENT – NIGHT Jones crashes through the door and runs over to Maria – she smiles at him as if she’s high JONES Maria? MARIA What a ride She folds back and laughs before her eyes roll back and she begins shaking violently in his arms ANDREW What’s wrong with her? END OF PART THREE EXT – GRAVEYARD – NIGHT There’s just one demon left standing and Faith is the only fighter left standing She boots the demon with all her force and his collision with the portal widens it and it falls in. Faith’s face is highlighted by the purple illuminations Connor and Dawn slowly step up to Faith FAITH Pretty colour DAWN I like it CUT TO. INT – FAITHS APARTMENT – NIGHT Maria stops shaking and jolts in Jones arms. He looks at Andrew and bursts out crying as he starts to shake her JONES Maria! Maria! Her eyes open, she has blood by her mouth CUT TO. FAITH Guess it’s time for me to take a closer look Faith starts to step up and Connor pulls her arm DAWN Faith, no! FAITH I’m gonna have to stop you right? Faith goes to swing but Connor flips her over and pushes her into Dawn.
