>Shakespeare's diction conveys the season by describing the the world during the season of fall as it transitions into winter. The falling leaves that cling only to a few branches create a perfect picture in the readers mind that shows the season. Time and season are significant because the season of fall represents the dying process of the one Shakespeare loved. Winter signified the death of this person, like at that time of the year, the world is dead and lifeless. The time of twilight into night shows the same thing of life and death and the process to get there. Death can be a dark thing and the night and winter show how dark it can be.
