Thanks Pete: Well I took the battery out and checked out where the housing is for said Thermostat. Now getting the bolts off it are going to be big pain. Did not know if anyone had any suggestions on how to do it. However (light comes on time in Donalds head) I checked the anti freeze/water level and added fluid... a lot of fluid. and then wondered if maybe that was why it was heating up lack of fluid. So did not mess with the thermostat any more and put it all back together. Out on the road we went. Took longer to have the temp gauge move up but it did finally and reached about the middle of the range And did not move. Stopped and it moved ever so slightly and the fan came on and the temp dropped and the fan went off. Granted I only rode it for 30 miles. But had it going pretty good during the run. And it did not over heat nor get up close to the red zone. amazing what a little water/antifreeze can do lol
