• Definitely. But I don't think it was just him. It was the first time, I think, that the midfield 3 played it perfectly. Andreas was a bit more cautious with his passing, while still being progressive overall. Berge played his role superbly both defensively and moving the ball. I think that meant that ESR wasn't coming deep as much searching for the ball and allowed him more time to play alongside his Arsenal youth boys, all three of whom seem to have a telepathic understanding of each other.     • I reckon it can, at least in terms of building up a players' understanding of the game and his role in it. The way you see Marco talking to the players, even if you don't know what he's saying, you can tell he's not just telling them what to do, but why. Agree on the technical skills. • Previously I thought ESR showed moments of class but was on the periphery of things for much of games. Yesterday he was the hub of our forward play throughout.
