• He's going to go eventually, but he has to feel he's so close to creating something really special. But for some better defending on corners and putting some good chances away, I think we'd be top of the table right now. Winter fixtures will only show what more is needed next season to get to that next level. • Silva really pressed for ESR and Joachim in the summer - he's been great for Fulham and Fulham has been great for him. Suspect he's going to at least see out his contract - hopefully sign another one.   • All good points, including about Thomas Frank, who is maybe, however, more serene and less driven than Marco. At the end of next season, he'll have every right -- contractually and morally -- to move onwards/upwards and who would honestly bet against his doing so. Especially if we flourish between now and then. And if we don't, quite, it will also seem time-up for staleness. So enjoy while we can and trust there's succession planning.     • You've hit the nail on the head there. It is most definitely in both sides' interests in seeing out his contract, unless of course an absolute giant comes calling. I can't really see the attraction for him to move only sightly up to, e.g., a Spurs level given where he's got us to; I.e. not far off their current bracket. • Silva is currently joint 2nd favourite (8/1) with Roberto De Zerbi to be next Spurs manager, Graham Potter is the favourite at 6/1. I've got a bad feeling about this one especially if we turn them over at their place on 1st December. I wonder if any discussions are going on at Fulham to offer Marco a new contract??? • I believe Silva is very happy at Fulham and providing we continue to progress he is more than happy to stay. Signing Andersen and Rowe when Silva requested quality players made a difference. I think the same may happen this Jan or summer. Why leave a Prem Club you have built to join one where you may be out on your ear very quickly. West Ham are now not an up on Fulham.     • Respectfully disagree. The biggest clubs in the world were small clubs once, you have to start somewhere. Expand the ground a bit more again, a few years of top six finishes, and momentum will build...Chelsea were MADE into a big club. Pre-Abramovic they were decidedly middling.
