Subject: Undoubtedly I'd say - and you can only really include the last 25 years. I was thinking the other day the Liverpool side that dominated the domestic game in the 80s - would it even win the Championship today? - the second tier that is - not the first. I doubt it.

  • Difference between Marco & the greats in my 32 years (I.e. Adams, my heart's favourite, & Roy, who brought the highest of highs) is that what he's doing doesn't seem transient. It feels like he's truly moving us up a level. Its not plucky Fulham pulling rabbits out of hats a la Roy. Its Fulham playing with style & togetherness with a system & structure (e.g. group captains) designed to bring the best out of players.
