Just to clarify that I didn’t mean to imply our support is devoid of posh fans, just that for a follower of the club for 62 years not to have encountered any rather gives the lie to the portrayal of our general fanbase as ‘posh’.   - And many of their privately educated kids are equally into football. Indeed I know a few who have got into football purely because their privately educated kids were so into the game.   - By ‘posh’ I assume opposing fans mean what used to be called the hooray Henry types, upper middle class (at the very least) types, rather than just those who’ve been successful in life. I’ve known a lot of Fulham fans in that category but since they will feature amongst the support of most clubs I suspect that is not what is meant by posh.
