Subject: Further to that, in terms of the strangeness, i've been both on the pitch and pitchside, and the noise carries to the pitch from the stands (yes, even the riverside!) far more than you'd expect. Stand to stand it's never seemed massively loud to me, but you can definitely hear it on the pitch
