When you are making little, or indeed losing, money annually every little bit helps. I don't think the Khan's bought the club as a charitable donation, and if they did I'd urge them to put that money somewhere more constructive. I don't think that's unreasonable, given our recent fiscal position, but the simple fact is, the initial poor management was the direct reason for that initially poor position. You can see that clearly from the club accounts. We've lost £600m under the Khans - £500m of that loss has happened whilst in the championship. Likely, we would have made a loss anyway, but we'd be talking a third or better of what we have. - Absolutely! Those first four years were a disaster. Not entirely their fault. They were new to the game & Mo had a significant period of under-investment. But they share the blame & its hard to think where we could be today if not for those years. But still, they stuck with it, learnt their lessons & have been steering a steady ship since around the time TK came in. Given what has happened with other clubs' owners in that time, the fact that they've stuck with it and improved is impressive. - Personally don’t think prices have gone up because of previous poor spending and trying to claw back losses, just think as a business they felt prices were low given the product and what it works out as price per game and jumped them to what they and the market see as fair price. I don’t think prices will be pumped again by such a substantial amount for the foreseeable.
