Subject: I can't answer your questions re methodology and it may be that some of the findings can be challenged - but as said above, don't think the findings can be dismissed out of hand . In terms of boots - again I dunno but when I was growing up it was mainly the likes of Bobby C and Peter Lorimer who would regularly score from o/s the box - it seems to me that goals from distance much more commonplace now. - but that could be dodgy memory anecdotal evidence on my part.
