Subject: The midfield conundrum

Massive difficult game against Liverpool coming up. Marco will have some choices to make. The back 5 will change due to Bassey 's absence. Clearly if Andersen is not fit it will be Cuenca that comes in with Leno, Tete, Robinson and Diop. The question will be do we stick to the central pivot of Berge and Lukic? Playing such a strong team I guess this will see them both starting. Then there is the Pereira Esr debate. Expect Jiminez to start up top and with Nelson injured I would have Iwobi and Wilson out wide. I also believe ESR will start. Let's see great game a very difficult one be interesting to see what Marco does. What do you guys think?

Pereira definitely over ESR! Until the latter displays better fitness and off the ball work , his place will be far from guaranteed ; esp in a game like this . Other than Diop and Cuenca in for Anderson and Bassey I am expecting the starting 11 to be the same as at Man C. So, Berge and Lukic in the middle. Iwobi as a right wing-back effectively making it a back 5 when out of possession and with Traore on the left and AP instead of ESR. Defend deep and in numbers then try to hit them with the same lightening breaks that nearly embarrassed Man C. ESR has magic in him still, but like many, I've not seen the work rate from him over the last 8 or so matches.
