Subject: FIFA jokers - IS the Tournament now 5 / 6 weeks long? isnt that your ENTIRE ANNUAL LEAVE?

While we call FIFA jokers, we also recognize that there arent many bidders for these MEGA events right now.

Seen it with the Commonwealth games in recent times and also the Olympics. If we the fans want these Mega events to continue, we have to be realistic and accept the current times mean we might not be able to pick and choose who HOSTS them.

Still that said, it does make a mockery of the now EXPANDED World Cup. 48 teams now. But in 2026 .. Three hosts mean 3 automatic places gone already. Then in 2030, 6 hosts!!! so out of 48, only 42 open for qualifying!

Great?. But does it make the Group stages a mockery for the stronger Nations like . erm . England? If so does it mean you as a Fan won't begin attending until the Knockout stages?
