It's certainly better than the smug 1950s Tory Club ambience of Friends of Fulham. Personally I prefer it when they use the option to review posts before publication. - I take your point on the reviewing; but in reality it often took so long that it removed any concept of joining a conversation. The fact that the time before review varied so widely and unpredictably did not help either. This is not a criticism of the Mods for whom it was no doubt an additional unwelcome task. Perfectly put. The open and ephemeral nature of conversations here make it so much more enjoyable and life-like, but the features that make it possible also make it possible for spoilers. Somehow I'd rather put up with the captchas and strange format of putting replies in titles, than the alternatives. Every now and then, e.g., I take a look at FoF and very VERY quickly close the browser tab & run away. The Mods of TIFF, whoever they are, do a remarkably good job with limited tools.
