Subject: Conjecture definately, likelyhood maybe...

Could it be that the club's current recruitment system suits Silva, and that if he moved to bigger club, his current role in identifying and approaching suitable players would become redundant under a recruitment system headed up by a Director of Football? He worked under Marcel Brands at Everton and likely one at Watford too. Not saying that he doesn't have the ability to work under a DOF, but I do wonder if our system, where he appears to have some autonomy, suits him. This I hope might make him less suitable for a club like Spurs. But our recruitment system also raises questions about the type of Coach/Manager who would be equipped to replace him.
