Subject: Quick opinion

Brilliant win from such a good Fulham team who are showing such depth over a busy period with plenty of injuries. Weirdly I thought the 3 at the back didn’t really work, it seemed to nullify Robinson’s runs from deep and none of our CBs wanted to follow palmer in to the space in front, which was giving him all kinds of space. Made some tweeks and actually like palmer said, and what I said a few days ago, turned it in to an end to end physical game which suits us. We just aren’t great when asked to control a game against a defensive team, but teams that come at us and get involved a basketball type affair plays to our strengths. Class by lukic, especially given his early yellow. Leno to me seems to be raising his standards again and Bassey was brilliant at getting us on the front foot.

Castagne great after his shackles were loosened second half and that finish by Muniz was outstanding. The touch with the right to kill it then slot with his left before their keeper set. Looked simple but was top class finishing. As I said last week to all those throwing him in the bin, he isn’t a world beater like some thought last season and he isn’t championship standard now, he’s a young striker learning his craft having some downs as well as ups and has plenty avoid him to develop into a really good prem CF, he’s ahead of where mitro was as a player at his age. Iwobi class again and I’m not sure what Robinson is made of but I just don’t get how he doesn’t seem to show any fatigue or weariness in comparison to others, he’s a machine.

Feels like it properly eradicates that Southampton mishap and shows when we don’t score it isn’t just a case of go and buy another CF, our 2 are decent and will be similar to mitro’s highest prem scoring season combined, which is good given only one is ever on the pitch. We are just suited to teams who come onto us and we can break, hence we are doing well against big teams, but struggle against deep sitting teams, just the makeup of our squad. Couple of great games next, Bournemouth and Ipswich will both have a go, they won’t do a Southampton, so we should go well, 4 points good, 6 points then we really are right in the Europe mix and an injection of talent in Jan will be really worth looking at.
