but I felt we looked jaded against a very hard-pressing and high intensity Team , who gave us virtually no time on the ball . Easy to see how they’ve beaten a few of the ‘big boys ‘ this season . I lost count of how many occasions I’d have taken the draw this afternoon with how the game was panning out : despite leading twice .They pressured us into mistakes , either directly or otherwise. We should now use the forthcoming week to rest up well and then look
ahead to a month where the fixtures appear ‘kinder’ to us . I thought Cairney was excellent and tenacious when he came on: I still think
he is best off the bench . But the decision will more likely be whether to revert back to a defensive 4 , with either /both our DCMs in front . Meanwhile Pereira , ESR or indeed both from
here on ? Their best levels have still to be reached ….

- Agreed, Pereira doesn't add to the side. We can get results without him being present and apart from the corner he was either poor first half or anonymous second before being subbed. I pretty much agree with your analysis. I thought us playing 3 or 5 at the back suited Bournemouth as they attempted to exploit any space with our full backs caught upfield. Also thought we lacked an orchestrator and pace, so it was no surprise when we brought on Cairney and Traore. We looked so much better with TC on the pitch. - I thought TC was exceptionally good when he came on - changed the game. Before then we had no control of midfield.
