Subject: The bigger clubs play weakened teams often as it is. We made 7 changes for a game against a decent second tier club who also fielded a weakened team. Cup replays are a rare opportunity for smaller clubs to have a big pay day - has to be earned of course. I'm sorry that has ended.
In reply to: Henry1879 's message, "It’s tricky because big teams will start playing weakened teams and then there’ll be calls that the competition is not being respected and it will be an inferior cup. More of the prem money should permeate down the pyramid, but there’s no easy way of doing it and English football in general is in good health, the championsup is a fantastic league and I’m not sure there are any countries that sustain 5 pro leagues and have attendances and stadia down the pyramid like we do in England." on Sunday, January 12, 04:27:23pm
