Subject: Nearer but still far away

Over many seasons Fulham displayed promise then sold a key player or two for balancing books or head coach heads to a more prestigious job. Over many seasons following the club, this is the first situation when both aspects appear to be unlikely. Following much coughing and spluttering, credit is in order. It is a pity expression of fan base appreciation will not happen to encourage the power that may need a little extra enthusiasm to produce required further investment initiatives.
