  • The reality is every signing has to be viewed through the prism of PSR, not just how good they are right now and for me Anderson wasn’t the right player. Even if he’d come in and been brilliant, I’d say he’s done ok at best, then we are using up so much room on one player (bet he’s on big wages too), when we had a good one to start in that position already. Wages are a huge issue to with new rules, can’t afford too many around the 60-80k bracket which I reckon Anderson falls in.     • He's on a base rate of 90k, apparently. You won't find any disagreement from me on much of that - i've never quite been so positive of Andersen as many - and i completely agree about his cost vs the uplift to the squad he has brought. The fact that he's essentially a sunk cost of £11m per year until 2029 with little or no chance of recouping any of that, concerns me and feels a bit more akin to the 18/19 type signings strategically, than the cleverer way we've been doing things of late.       • Yes I agree and I think it’s more a silva led signing. As a financial and business decision, it has very little merit, I think it shows he does have a big say in transfers and (stick my tin hat on here) that isn’t always a good thing. We had been on a really smart and productive strategy, like you say, this didn’t marry that path, what the manager wants for here and now if yeh isn’t what’s best for the club.
