Subject: On that plausible reading, the Skysports deal is a slow route to suicide. While less of a blow to BBC/ITV, the FA Cup matches, all they can afford live, will also have lower viewing figures than usual for those reasons. Short-term it's a great as well as mildly amusing trend. Longer-term, better for FFC alone to be breaking the mould.
In reply to: Rupert 's message, "The Sky deal has opened a window for clubs the media dismiss as 'unfashionable'. Long may it continue. Bournemouth v Brentford on Saturday - traditionally a League 2 or 1 fixture at best. Bet Sky and the BBC loved that." on Monday, March 17, 10:59:59am
