I think Sess as a right winger shows promise. Get Willian to coach him how to be an inverted winger. Sess is a strange player, not the quickest or most skillful, but just has a knack for making things happen and evading defenders to get into goalscoring positions. Also has a good shot with either foot and won't be afraid to have a shot - something which Berge ad Lukic almost never do. He does look a lot physically stronger than he used to be which also helps. -- SW6.doc

As long as we have such a strong left back it means sess’ opportunity will be in the right attacking role. I don’t see why he can’t adapt there, as an inverted wide forward who is good defensively, allowing an attacking RB (an area I think we need to improve), whilst chipping in with goals and being able to cover other positions. - I would only add that in our last season with us Parker played him inverted for a bit and I'm not sure I have ever seen a regular starter for us look so lost as he did back then. Now that doesn't mean he can't learn how to pay there, just saying that his previous attempt there really destroyed his already fragile confidence.   - Because we’ve had a good season, a lot based on our left side, with our best player offering the width down that side, play a left footed traditional winger and they’ll get in each others way and that player coming inside helps us with numbers in the middle. Would take a fundamental tactical rethink, which doubt we’ll do with so few games left.     - We change our tactics all the time though. Last game out we played a 5 2 0 3 formation. That’s more of a change than playing a more traditional winger to an inverted one. And here’s the big point, we haven’t been doing well of late so something needs to change. Personally I don’t think playing lukic and verge together works. We were much better when we played lukic and pereira together. But Marco seems to have lost his bottle or wants to give Anderson and Leno more protection.
